1 – Remove interior roof light

Damage to or destruction of electrical components.
Leave electrical components in original packaging until just before they are installed. Use the original packaging only for any return shipments. Always package removed components straight away.
Read and comply with user information on using the associated special tool 12 7 060.
Only touch the housings of electrical components. Do not touch pins or multi-pin connectors directly.
Wear electrically conductive clothing and antistatic shoes (with ESD symbol).

Equipment specification with interior roof light:
Carefully lever out the interior roof light (1) with the special tool 0 496 569 (00 9 325) in the direction of the arrow.
Unlock the corresponding plug connection and remove the interior roof light (1).

Equipment specification with roof function centre (FZD):
Carefully unclip the cover (1) with the special tool 0 496 569 (00 9 325) and take it off.

Unlock the retaining lugs (1) with the screwdriver (2) in the direction of the arrow.
Remove the roof function centre (FZD) (3).
Unlock plug connections underneath and disconnect.

Detach the interior roof light (1) at the clamps (2) and feed it out of the roof function centre (FZD) (3).
2 – Install the interior roof light

When replacing the interior roof light: Remount the bulb.

Connect the corresponding plug connection.
Install the interior roof light (1) in the headlining (2).

Check clamps (2) for damage or missing clamps and replace the interior roof light, if necessary.
Insert the interior roof light (1)  into the roof function centre (FZD) (3) and clip it in at the clamps.

Disconnecting the plug connection for the emergency call button results in fault code entries in the telephone control unit (restriction in the emergency call system).
After installation, read out the fault memory and, if necessary, delete the fault memory entries.
