The instrument cluster has a total of 6 step motors for the various instruments.

Moving-disc instruments are used in the instrument cluster.

On the left, the set speed for cruise control is displayed on a moving-disc instrument.

On the right, a moving-disc instrument indicates the engine speed warning zone (currently only M-Technology).
The engine speed warning zone is subdivided into:

  • Fixed engine speed warning zone
  • Variable engine speed warning zone

The engine speed warning zone is controlled as a function of engine temperature. The engine speed warning zone for spark-ignition and diesel engines differ.

The instrument cluster has an 18-pin connection to the onboard power supply. The internal acoustic generator, too, is on the rear of the instrument cluster.
